This is me!
I am Dru Yoga Teacher, Writer, Dru Sound Practitioner, certified Ayurveda Consultant and Yoga Health Coach.
I help clients to embrace a Yoga and Ayurveda lifestyle with ease and a sense of joy and fulfilment. I practise a practical, down-to-earth approach to help integrate an Ayurvedic lifestyle into real, everyday life.
My experience with yoga began 20 years ago while studying Eastern Philosophy at university, and while traveling to India, where I volunteered as a nurse at the Parvatibhai Leprosy hospital, Surat, Gujarat. Later I trained as a Dru Yoga teacher, Yoga Nidra Teacher and also studied Yoga Psychology.
Yoga has transformed my life and health, I feel a strong call to share with others the gift of yoga. I am blessed to see on daily basis how Yoga touches, heals and transforms the lives of those who practise with me.
In addition to Dru yoga classes, I also teach Dru Relaxation, Meditation , Yoga Nidra, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Flow, Creative Writing with Yoga, Yoga Psychology and Ayurveda nutrition and Lifestyle.
I am currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing where I explore the healing power of storytelling and developing new links between yoga, creativity and spiritual practices.
My teachings are rooted in the idea that we need more connection with nature and ourselves in order to live a life of purpose. With our everyday disconnection and sense of separation, I believe yoga is a journey back home.

Yoga with me
In my classes I enjoy sharing traditional postures and sequences with a contemporary twist, combined with breathing and meditative practices, including mantra, sound, storytelling and music to create a fun, profound, transformative and uplifting experience.
For me a yoga practice should be able to take us inside ourselves, to connect us with our essence (physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritually).
Only when we dive into our bodies as the great gift that they are, can we anchor and create a vision that will make a difference in the world.
Dru Yoga is a graceful and potent form of hatha yoga, based on flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, Dru works on body, mind and spirit— not only improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability but also concentrating on building a heightened feeling of positivity, through specific affirmations that deeply relax and rejuvenate your whole being. It works with traditional postures and breathing techniques but also uses unique sequences that are designed to unblock energy channels in the body.
A combination of Dru Yoga and Yoga Nidra offers an ideal practice for those who suffer with trauma, stress and anxiety and it is my special call to help clients to help themselves by teaching them techniques, tools and practices that can help them connect with their bodies in a safe way and literally change how life is experienced.
In the first randomised control trial into Dru Yoga in 2008, participants reported to be:
More composed - less anxious
More elated - less depressed
More energised - less tired
More agreeable - less hostile
More confident - less unsure
Clearer life purpose and higher level of satisfaction
Self confidence during stress

My Ayurveda story
I am a certified Ayurveda Consultant and Yoga Health Coach. I have studied with Cate Stillman and Katie Silcox and I have been very fortunate to undertake postgraduate Ayurveda education with Dr Vasant Lad, the founder of the prestigious New Mexico's Ayurvedic Institute and the first doctor bringing Ayurveda to the West. I have also been mentored by Sharon Jackson, a leading Ayurveda Practitioner in the UK. I am also a roving mentor for Yoga Healer in the Yoga Health Coaching certification course.
I helps client to achieve to connect with themselves and experience radiant health, calm and energy in a journey that it's nothing else but a journey back to themselves. Our bodies, when aligned with Nature, are so wise, and that's exactly what Ayurveda helps you to do: to connect with the inner wisdom of every cell of your body so you can experience your full potential.
I learned it the above the hard way. I recovered from M.E with Ayurveda and Mind-Body re-connection practices, so I haven't only studied Ayurveda but I also have first-hand experience on how powerful it can be. Actually, Ayurveda gave me a better life. But you don't need to be ill in order to benefit from this ancient health system. If it took me from severe illness to health, can you imagine what Ayurveda can do for your healthier body? I am a completely healthy person now, and following the Dinacharya (or Ayurveda daily habits) is making me stronger, happier, more grounded and, most importantly, full of future.

Testimonials
Having had a personal yoga practice on and off for 30 years, I am often on the hunt for a good teacher. And for one I can recommend my clients too ( I am a trauma therapist).
I look for one who is ensouled and offers me the opportunity to come closer to my own. And one who can also allow me to feel that I’ve worked and relaxed my body well.
The combination of both these conditions are rare in a teacher.
Having done a zoom class with Veronica I was relieved and delighted to find the boxes well ticked. Her attention and holding space is exceptional and she has a deep presence that is refreshingly both authentic and playful.
It was an introduction for me to Dru yoga. The combination of powerful visualisations and affirmations while doing the postures plus the continual attention to correct breathing makes this a transformational and dynamic practice for body and soul.
It was also an introduction to an online class which I had reservations about before hand. But Veronica’s ability to explain things well meant I didn’t have to always look at the screen and yet I always felt I was in the field of her loving attention.
I recommend her classes highly.

I never thought I would like yoga as much as I do now! I decided to give Veronica's Dru Yoga classes a go. It's an excellent way to unwind, do some exercise and have fun at the same time. There is such a brilliant atmosphere in the classes and everyone is always able to work within their own limits. Even if you are a complete beginner, you feel very much at ease right from the start. -Anne.
